How does Covered plan my money?
Every bill is paid from the paycheck on or before its due date. Covered works out which paycheck that is, sets your savings aside, and shows what is left to spend until your next payday. Each paycheck gets its own plan, eight paychecks ahead.
A paycheck says "Short". What do I do?
Open that paycheck. Covered suggests the easiest fix: pay one bill early from the check before (tap Do it), or skip a savings set-aside that check. You can also move any bill with the arrows next to it.
My pay changes from check to check.
Open the paycheck and tap Take-home pay to enter what actually landed. Add tips, side jobs or child support with + Add extra income.
How do the free trial and the unlock work?
Every feature is free for 14 days, with nothing to pay and no card on file. After that, adding and editing needs the one-time $19.99 unlock. It is not a subscription. Your plan stays viewable and exportable either way. Family Sharing lets up to six people in your family use one purchase.
I got a new phone, or reinstalled. Where is my budget and my purchase?
Sign in with the same Apple Account. If Keep a copy in my iCloud was on, your budget comes back by itself. In the app, open Settings and tap Restore purchase to bring back the unlock. You can also restore from a backup file (Settings › Backup, restore & help).
How do I add the widgets?
Touch and hold your Home Screen or Lock Screen, tap Edit then Add Widget, and search for Covered. Choose Left to spend or Bills before payday.
Can I use Siri?
Yes. Say "What's left in Covered" or "Log spending in Covered".
I use the Paycheck Budget web app. Can I bring my data?
Yes. In the web app, open Settings › Backup, restore & help › Save a backup file. In Covered, open Settings › Backup, restore & help › Restore from a backup and pick that file.
Does Covered connect to my bank?
No, on purpose. You enter your own numbers, so there is nothing to link, nothing to break and nothing to share.
